Wildlife is being given the chance to get back in business with
the development of a huge East Yorkshire industrial estate.
Colonies of bats will soon have a new roost, thanks to developer
Sterling Capitol, which is building the estate at Goole.
The bats lost their home in old farm buildings at nearby New
Potter Grange when they were destroyed in an arson attack.
Now Sterling has won planning permission to build a new home for
the bats next to the pounds237m 310-acre Capitol Park business park.
The specialist roost will be constructed in the 100-acre Oakhill
Country Park and nature reserve next to Capitol Park.
