Human error last week. Parts failure this week. Thus ends Kyle
Busch's championships hopes.
"We're out of the title hunt, that's for sure," Busch said after
he finished last in Sunday's race at Dover International Speedway
because of an engine failure.
While Jimmie Johnson has a reputation as one of the best drivers
in the Chase, Busch's misfortune is building a Chase resume worth
hiding.
Busch noted that two years ago he started the Chase poorly -- a
crash at New Hampshire that led to a 38th-place finish and then a
40th at Dover after an engine failure. He finished last in the
points among the title contenders.
Sunday's result goes with his 34th-place finish at New Hampshire
a week ago and ...
