SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - While Shawn Estes worked the double play,
Julian Tavarez felt the wrath of the crowd.
Estes elicited three key double plays through seven scoreless
innings as the San Francisco Giants beat the Chicago Cubs, 5-0,
Saturday and snapped a season-high four-game losing streak.
"Today, I had the double play. It was my best friend," he said.
Estes (2-1) allowed five hits, struck out five and walked five
before he was replaced by Felix Rodriguez to start the eighth.
Rodriguez and Robb Nen combined on two hitless innings of relief.
"He had his moments of wildness, then he's get back," manager
Dusty Baker said about his starter. "I don't know how many double
