LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Pleasant Ridge Reserve, a cows' milk
farmstead cheese, took top honors at the recent 18th annual
conference of the American Cheese Society.
The cheese, the "best of show" winner, is made by Mike and Carol
Gingrich, of the Uplands Cheese Co. in Dodgeville, Wis. It is a semi-
hard, washed-rind cheese made with only spring and summer milk -
which the Gingrichs consider the best-tasting milk.
