Dear Tim: Energy costs are quite unstable right now. Add to that
the rising cost of just about everything else, and I need to save
money. I love the look of painted wood siding but don't want to
break out a paintbrush every five to seven years.
Is there a vinyl siding product that really looks like wood and
offers superior energy efficiency? When I add the siding to my home,
what can I do to stop or minimize outside noise from getting into my
