Sinusitis is the most common health care complaint in the United
States, affecting approximately one out of eight people at some time
in their lives.
Sinusitis affects an estimated 35 million Americans each year.
More that $2 billion dollars is spent annually for over-the-counter
medications for sinusitis. It has become the number one chronic
illness for all age groups.
Virus infections, allergy factors and air pollution ( including
cigarette smoke) have all contributed to an increase in the
incidence of sinusitis.
