TRAVELLING to Bora Bora was like drifting into a deep and
blissful
sleep. If the 40 minute flight from Papeete wasn't enough to
convince us we were leaving the world behind, the half hour boat
trip
from the airport (on its own little island) to Bora Bora itself
ensured we were safe in dreamland.
Without doubt, Bora Bora is one of the most breathtaking islands
on earth. With cardboard cutout peaks standing sentinel over a
turquoise lagoon, gorgeous-looking locals and French cuisine it's a
place people fall seriously in love with. We were no exception.
Club Med regards French Polynesia as its spiritual home. In 1957
when the organisation was five years old, its first expedition
reached Tahiti ...
