IT was a tiny scrap of paper, fading and forgotten in the back of
a drawer.
Ashburton trainer John Lischner, spring cleaning the desk in his
office, was about to throw it away when the few typed lines on it
caught his eye.
It was a simple list of half a dozen ingredients, with no
indication as to what it was, but Lischner suspected he'd stumbled
across a secret leg wash recipe.
And when he asked his daughter Kim, a pharmacist, to mix it up for
him, Lischner immediately realised from its smell and colour, that
this was indeed the mix which old time trainers had so jealously
guarded.
Ironically, if Bradshaw can down Iraklis in Tuesday's DB Draught
