NORTH SHORE United coach Kevin Hagan will be hoping his side can
beat the Blues this afternoon, as the Smokefree National Soccer
League leader takes on Napier City Rovers, at the Hawke's Bay club's
Park Island ground.
Shore's 2-1 win over previous leader Wellington United last week
means it has the most sought-after scalp in the league. However,
those four points came at a price -- Michael Legg, Shore's most
influential outfield player this season, will be missing for a few
weeks with internal injuries received in the top-of-the-table clash.
How Shore performs in his absence could well determine its fate
for 1996.
