Article: Murray's runners simply love this racetrack

MOTUKARARA trainer Murray Edmonds again struck at his favourite track when Innocent Jim took out yesterday's Apex Meats Marlborough Cup.

Edmonds invariably has his team firing for Marlborough meetings and yesterday was no exception with stablemate Franco Showoff running on late for third in the cup, while maidens in the team, Mighty Man and Jock Butterfield, quinellaed the first leg of the TAB treble.

"I'm not sure why my team goes well here, but we've had a fair bit of luck on this track," Edmonds said.

Edmonds had to sit out yesterday's meeting due to a suspension at Nelson last weekend, but will resume driving again tomorrow.
