THE Smokefree national soccer league reaches its halfway point
this afternoon, with four ninth-round matches including the feature
game between Nelson Suburbs and Central United at Nelson's Guppy
Park.
Going into the round, Nelson shared the lead with defending
champion Waitakere City, while Central United, despite lying in
seventh place, was only five points behind the pacesetters.
Kevin Fallon's Central line-up is fast growing in confidence, born
from three straight wins after failing to claim maximum points in any
of its first five fixtures.
It will provide the co-leader with a stern test this afternoon,in
