TALENTED young Auckland tennis professional James Greenhalgh is
chasing a mental edge.
The 20-year-old revealed, after he and Brett Steven's emphatic
Davis Cup doubles win over China, in Christchurch yesterday, that he
had been working with Unisports psychologist Paul Smith.
The sessions in Auckland have been going on for several months and
Greenalgh hopes he will reap the rewards this year.
After a poor 1995 his singles ranking now stands at 551 while his
doubles is at 252.
"The sessions are helping a lot," he said.
"I think I have cleared up a lot of things in the last few
months."
Yesterday, Greenhalgh wouldn't expand on the psychology sessions.
