A Christchurch company director accused of attempting to burgle
an
adult lingerie shop was yesterday discharged by Justices of the
Peace
after a preliminary hearing in the Christchurch District Court.
Messrs John O'Hara and Don White said insufficient police
evidence
was available to establish that Kevin James Black, 28, was the same
person as the one seen by a witness to the attempt on June 13 in
Colombo Street about 3.30am.
Police evidence was that Mr Black was seen by a witness to take a
water hydrant cover and attempt to break a glass door panel in the
Adam and Eve lingerie shop.
