Three men alleged to have Road Knights connections yesterday
pleaded guilty in the Christchurch District Court to charges of
setting up a clandestine drug laboratory, first in South Canterbury
and later in Cheviot, to manufacture amphetamine.
Leonard Colin Hamley, 38, unemployed, of Pareora, South
Canterbury, Roger Paul Patrick, 44, a contractor, of Timaru, and
Robert James Drummond, 39, a labourer, of Timaru, each admitted
charges of attempting to manufacture amphetamine, a Class B drug, at
Waianakarua, North Otago, between May 1 and August 8; attempting to
manufacture amphetamine at Cheviot between August 8 and September 5.
