People visiting central Christchurch tomorrow for the annual
McDonald's Santa Parade are urged to arrive early to ensure a good
vantage point.
The parade will begin at 2pm from Moorhouse Avenue, before moving
along Colombo Street on the way to Park Terrace, the Christchurch
City Council's events marketing co-ordinator, Michael Braithwaite,
said yesterday.
``We're expecting a huge turnout for the parade, so people should
arrive early to get a good spot.''
All city council car-parking buildings will be open tomorrow for
the parade.
Some roads will close and motorists heading north are urged to
find an alternative route through the city.
