JOHN and Julie Singleton tumbled to the grass and embraced as
Danehill filly Ha Ha gave Gai Waterhouse and jockey Jim Cassidy the
ultimate prize by winning the $A2.5 million AAMI Golden Slipper
(1200m) at Rosehill in Sydney yesterday.
Waterhouse supplied the first three across the line with Ha Ha
beating gallant Marscay speedster Excellerator by 1-1/4 lengths with
Gooree's Dehere gelding Red Hannigan a further short neck away
third.
Her runners collected the $A1.5 million first prize, $A500,000
second prize and $A250,000 third prize.
