ALL BLACK Jeff Wilson has spoken publicly for the first time of gay rumours that have hounded him, saying he was furious his family and girlfriend were badgered by the media.

In his biography released this week, the All Black star opens up over the gay claims, reveals he was offered the All Black captaincy last year and speaks out about last year's World Cup disaster.

Wilson, 27, who took a break from rugby after this year's Super 12, also indicated he will return to the sport.

"It got to an absurd stage," Wilson says of the homosexuality
