When high-quality printing is required for art books, Hazard
Press
takes the work to Spectrum Print. ``Increasingly, local printers are
matching the prices of their Asian counterparts,'' says Hazard
publisher Quentin Wilson.
``Any savings the overseas printer might offer are outweighed by
being able to oversee the book's production, from photolithography
to
the binding.''
Hazard Press was established in Christchurch in 1986, and has
found a niche publishing art books.
``We started with Spectrum Print when we published Doris Lusk's
Landmarks,'' says Mr Wilson.
``Since then I have worked in with Spectrum's printer, Murray
