Henry The Eighth, which gained his first win for just over two
years in the feature pace at Motukarara, is unlikely to race again
in New Zealand.
The eight-year-old Soky's Atom gelding is under offer to Chicago
interests, and only a flight delay allowed Darfield trainer-driver
Leo May the opportunity to snare a bonus win yesterday from the
honest pacer.
May's wife, Barbara, who also shared in the lease of Henry The
Eighth from Keith and Bevan Grice, of Ashburton, said it would be a
sorry day when the old chestnut-coloured favourite left their
property.

years, but it is so hard to win races here. He is usually in a
