An urgent phone call last weekend asked if I was available to make
up a team of four for a Texas Scramble competition at the club the
following morning. Since the other three were good players, I was
curious as to why they would seek the services of such a renowned
hacker.
"Have no illusions," said the voice at the other end. "It's your
handicap we're after."
"What about my cheery disposition?" I countered.
"You know what you can do with that," he replied. "In any case,
even you will find it difficult to be cheery, because we're first out
at 7.50am."
