Alison Maclean's eerie short film, Kitchen Sink, is one of the
most widely acclaimed New Zealand short films ever made. It screens
on Short Cuts, this Thursday at 8.30pm on TV4.
Although it was made in 1989, the film continues to win awards
around the world. Last year it garnered a prize from the Silicon
Valley Film Festival in the United States.
Kitchen Sink tells the story of a woman (Theresa Healey) who
discovers a mysterious cord coming out of her plughole. She yanks on
