Some of the momentum gained by South Island wools over the last few months was lost at the latest Christchurch wool sale.

Prices eased over the previous Christchurch sale indicating South Island prices have reached the same level as North Island prices.

In recent months Christchurch prices have been 20 to 30 per cent better than Napier prices.

Cross bred lambs wool was in very limited demand, and anything short was difficult to sell.
