THE policemen are just about the only people who do not recognise
Gisela Stuart at Westminster these days.
As she wanders along the corridors of power to her next meeting,
a
polite young officer asks her if she is lost.
When Gisela, the 42-year-old Labour MP for Birmingham Edgbaston,
tells him she is a member they both laugh off his mistake.
But few could forget the way the mother-owo won her seat on that
historic night last May.
Gisela Stuart was thrust into the limelight beaming with delight,
hugging her colleagues as the returning officer read the results to
whoops of delight and cheering from supporters.
