RETAIL property group Pillar and its investment partner have sold
seven major UK shopping centres to Dutch company Rodamco for pounds
253 million.
The clutch of shopping centres, which are scattered across the
UK,
are owned by PillarCaisse - a joint venture between Pillar and a
Canadian investment fund.
PillarCaisse said it would now focus on shopping centres with a
dominant position in their area where competition was low.
As an indication of this future strategy, the company announced it
had acquired the headlease on the Castle Centre in Banbury.
