Article: Doe Run lawsuit moves to federal court for third time

The venue volleyball match between a group of Peruvian plaintiffs and Doe Run Resources Corp., its owners and officers continues as the defendants -- for the third time -- move the game to federal court.

The plaintiffs allege that exposure to lead from the smelting and mining operations at Doe Run Peru, in La Oroya, Peru, caused area children physical and psychological harm as well learning disabilities, other disabilities, mental anguish, educational and rehabilitation expenses and diminished earning capacity.
