Apprentices have embarked on an innovative four-year programme
with Flybe and Exeter College that will lead to a guaranteed job in
the aviation industry, provided they pass with flying colours.
The 33 apprentices are now studying in a bid to obtain a number
of industry-recognised qualifications which lead to them becoming
licensed aircraft engineers.
Flybe says it launched the programme after claiming there was
"nowhere in the UK" that could provide the in-depth training
required to deliver top flight engineers.
It has designed its own course in association with Exeter
College.
