East Devon came desperately close to completing a clean sweep
over local rivals Sidmouth - winning three of their four recent
matches.
East Devon firsts beat Sidmouth firsts 1-0 in a close game at
West Exe College.
The hosts defended a series of penalty corners successfully to
end the first half 0-0 as Sidmouth pressed.
In the second half the roles were reversed, with East spending
large periods attacking and Will Evans sealing the game for the
home side with a dramatic late strike.
Away from home East Devon seconds had a comfortable 5-1 win
against Sidmouth seconds.
