CHAMPIONING the Black Country - its industry, potential for
tourism and unique heritage - is the role of a consortium recently
set up with the full co-operation of several organisations in the
sub-region.
The Black Country Consortium comprises representatives of the
four
local authorities, together with those from the business community,
who are all interested in the future of this proud area.
Also involved are members of the voluntary sector, further and
higher education, health authorities, trades unions, the Employment
Service and the CRE.
Promotion and regeneration are prime objectives on the agenda.
