Article: Prince to take peep at progress ; Keeps promise with return visit to Balsall Heath

PRINCE Charles is to visit an area of inner-city Birmingham that has transformed itself from one of the most run down and notorious red light districts in the Midlands into a thriving community.

The Prince's visit to Balsall Heath on April 12 is the result of a promise he made during a previous trip to the area in 1986 when he said he would return to see the progress it had made.

Prince Charles is the patron of Business in the Community, an organisation which has been instrumental in helping Balsall Heath change by encouraging companies to support their area.

During his tour, he will see the developments which have taken place and meet some of the residents behind them.
