Article: Computer game outlets spared

WHILE operators of illegal video game outlets are frantically trying to escape raids by Selangor local authorities, those operating computer game outlets are smiling.

This is because the State Government has not decided on the action to be taken against internet centre operators offering computer games.

"We have to tackle this one at the time. Let us concentrate in eliminating all these illegal video arcades first," said Selangor Menteri Besar Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo.

These centres, he said, are not licensed under the Entertainment and Places of Entertainment Enactment as they come under the Food Establisment by-laws which allow them to operate 24 hours like ...
