REAL estate is real riches. Its owner is the possessor of real,
tangible wealth, as opposed to virtual, paper wealth. That is why
real estate has exerted a strong appeal on mankind since time
immemorial, and continues to exert such an appeal to this day. Other
instruments of investment - stocks and shares, funds, bonds,
derivatives, futures, commodities, diamonds, gold, silver and what
have you - have held an attraction for man at one time or another,
but none of these has quite the abiding pull that real estate has.
In fact, such is the lure of real estate that in days less
civilised, wars were fought to acquire by force land and property
belonging to another person, race or country.
