A NEW University College could be built on Edinburgh waterfront
as
part of a transformation of the area, it emerged today.
Queen Margaret University College is considering siting its new
campus within the eight miles of shoreline between Portobello and
Cramond which has been targeted for a GBP 450 million rebirth as a
Forth Riviera.
Managers have been looking to move from the Corstorphine campus
after student numbers rose dramatically -and it was named a
university college.
Five years ago, a number of key departments were moved to Leith as
part of an overspill project, with the eventual aim of moving
permanently to the revitalised port.
