IT was an act of selfless bravery which many people would not
want
to have to repeat.
David Blair battled through choking smoke to pull his neighbour
from a blazing house, saving his life.
Today it emerged that Mr Blair was no stranger to saving lives in
his neighbourhood - and now he is in line for his third bravery
award
for rescuing residents all living in the same Penicuik street.
Mr Blair pulled Rab Reid from his burning home at 1 Woodside
Drive, Penicuik, on Sunday morning.
Firefighters said his quick reaction almost certainly saved his
neighbour, who had collapsed in the hallway from smoke inhalation.
The incident was almost a carbon copy of the time in 1996 when Mr
Blair rescued ...
