A HOTEL giant is set to create scores of new Scots jobs as part
of
a multi-million-pound investment programme north of the Border.
Regal Hotels revealed it was currently upgrading facilities at
hotels in Fife, Edinburgh and the Borders.
It is spending GBP 2.75 million on extending the Queensferry
Lodge
in North Queensferry, Fife, as well as refurbishing the Maitland
Hotel in Shandwick Place, Edinburgh, the Tontine in Peebles and
properties in Glasgow, Perth and Kinross.
The major changes come as Regal continues talks to buy the County
hotel chain in a GBP 120m deal.
If successful, the move would give the firm hotels on either side
of the Forth with County's Forth Bridges Hotel in South ...
