THE organisers of Linlithgow's first folk festival have put
together a pre-festival programme of events to whet music-lovers'
appetites.
The festival will be held next month with a weekend of traditional
music, dance and song which includes a family ceilidh, workshops,
gigs in pubs and street entertainment.
The pre-festival events will be held later this month in the Black
Bitch pub in Linlithgow.
Falkirk favourites The Curragh will play live folk music in the
pub a week tomorrow.
The following Saturday, local musicians and singers will be given
the opportunity to perform at an open stage evening.
The organisers of the event, Linlithgow Folk Festival Association,
