THE Scottish Anglers National Association (SANA) and the Salmon
and Trout Association (S&TA) have teamed up to call for a formal
judicial review of the Secretary of State's decision on the
expansion of the Avoch Bay fish farm, adjacent to the Black Isle,
Inverness.
SANA & S&TA believe the declining salmonoids on the west coast of
Scotland can be put down to a number of factors, but the main
overriding factor is the huge increase of sea lice.
This is not just isolated to the UK, as Norwegian scientists have
proved. Mortality rates of 86 per cent have been recorded from the
mouth of Songnefjorden ...
