Article: Euro boost for Hearts

HEARTS were today handed a major European boost when it emerged that dangerman Andrei Borissov has left Estonian side FC Lantana.

The 29-year-old mid- fielder pulled the strings for Anatoli Belov's side in the first leg of their Cup-Winners' Cup qualifier against the Jambos and had been singled out by the Hearts players as a real threat for Thursday's return leg at Tynecastle.

Now Borissov will be missing from the squad which arrives in the Capital tonight after joining Finnish club Jaro.

Hearts, of course, won that first leg 1-0 thanks to a superb strike from Lee Makel.
