EDINBURGH NORTHERN rugby club are to appeal to the Edinburgh
District League claiming that they have been robbed of their
unbeaten record by a referee's faulty arithmetic.
Amidst scenes of pure farce the final whistle at Inverleith Park
on Saturday saw both Northern and their opponents from Edinburgh
Royal Infirmary claiming victory.
According to Northern sources the match resulted in a 28-26 win
although Royal Infirmary players were happy to accept the verdict of
referee Jonathan Swift from Dunbar - a 26-25 win for them.
