FAN power is set to determine how quickly the prestigious rugby
league Silk Cut Challenge Cup final, which saw Bradford Bulls defeat
Leeds Rhinos 24-18 at Murrayfield on Saturday, returns to Edinburgh.
Soon after the dust had settled on a final that attracted a near-
capacity crowd of 67,247, Dave Callaghan, acting chief executive of
the Rugby League, made it clear that a further Capital showpiece
could be on the cards, by urging feedback from the stands.
Callaghan insisted the rugby league authorities had no regrets
about moving the final from its traditional Wembley home -where re-
development work is due to begin soon - to north of the Border for
the first time in its 103-year history and ...
