Article: TRIBUTES FLOOD IN FOR FORMER PROVOST WILSON

RELATIVES and councillors have expressed their sorrow following the death of former Linlithgow Provost Dr Bill Wilson.

Dr Wilson died aged 71 at St John's Hospital in Livingston on Saturday.

He had been ill since Christmas, suffering the effects of treatment following a heart transplant operation he had undergone 13 years ago.

Today, those who knew him said he would be remembered as a committed Linlithgow doctor and a man who cared about the town's affairs.

Dr Wilson spent 11 years as a local councillor for the town
