Article: Race crime scheme to be extended

A PROJECT by Lothian and Borders Police designed to make it easier to report racial crimes to police is to be extended.

The Remote Racial Reporting scheme enables victims of racist crimes to use a third party or agency to pass information to the police.

It is to be extended after pilots in Muirhouse and Wester Hailes were deemed a success.

The scheme is to be launched in association with the Pakistan Society Edinburgh in Epworth Hall, Nicolson Square, tonight.
