Article: More Foreigners Attracted to Traditional Chinese Medicine

Westerners are becoming more interested in traditional Chinese medicine, no longer regarding it as some kind of witchcraft.

Statistics show that the number of foreigners studying acupuncture treatment and herbal medicine in China comes second only to those studying Chinese.

For example, central China's Hubei Traditional Chinese Medicine College is now accommodating some 130 students from more than 10 countries, such as Belgium, France, Sweden, the Republic of Korea and Singapore.

"There is a trend of 'returning to nature' in modern treatment, which is in line with the doctrine of traditional Chinese medicine," said Zhang Liutong, president of the college.
