Article: Family Rest Home Supports the Aged

Wang Bin, 80, is the only one left in his family. When he realized that he needed care from others, he went to a family rest home nearby.

This home for the aged, run by Wang Hui, an employee of the Yangtze Navigation Bureau in this capital of central China's Hubei Province, looks after four elderly people now.

Wang Hui started this program in March this year when she saw a lonely aged acquaintance left uncared for. Her family transformed its own house into two spacious bedrooms and one big recreation area of more than 40 sq m.

The family itself moved to a small room under the stairs. They also used all their savings and sold the husband's car for this venture.
