Article: Veteran Diplomat Luo Guibo Dies in Beijing

Luo Guibo, a veteran Chinese diplomat, died of illness on November 2 at the age of 88, and his body was cremated in Beijing today.

Luo was born in eastern China's Jiangxi Province and began his revolutionary activities from 1926, organizing many uprisings in the countryside of Jiangxi. Before New China was founded in 1949, he had taken part in or organized a lot of military campaigns against the Japanese aggressors and for the national liberation.
