Visiting U.S. President Bill Clinton praised here today the
"twin-track" approach to the stalled Northern Ireland peace process,
saying that he admired his host British Prime Minister John Major in
taking this kind of risk for peace.
Clinton, who started his five-day European trip today, held talks
with Major on Northern Ireland and Bosnia. The twin-track strategy
which is aimed to break the current impasse in the Northern Ireland
peace process had been signed by Major and his Irish counterpart John
Bruton hours before the U.S. president arrived here at dawn today.
At the joint press conference outside 10 Downing Street, Clinton
