CHEYENNE -- The Wyoming Supreme Court will continue to handle
payroll and budgets for the state's district courts.
Wyoming Supreme Court Chief Justice Larry Lehman said Monday
evening he plans to rescind an order issued April 5 that would have
split the administration of the district courts and the Supreme
Court.
The order would have made district courts in Wyoming responsible
for their own fiscal, budgetary and other administrative matters.
The decision to rescind the order follows a meeting held April 21
among district court judges and Supreme Court justices.
During the meeting, Lehman said judges and justices determined
that a centralized system makes sense.
