CHEYENNE -- No one died on Wyoming's highways over the Memorial
Day weekend.
The lack of fatalities over a long holiday weekend is unusual,
said Sgt. Perry Jones of the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
"We hope this is a pattern that can continue," he said.
The highway patrol stepped up its traffic enforcement efforts
throughout the weekend.
Although Jones said it's not possible to credit the lack of
fatalities to the patrol's efforts, Jones said, "we'd sure like to
think it was a contributing factor."
He said he hopes the patrol's efforts caused motorists to pay
