CHEYENNE -- Tyler Lindell is like many other 14-year-olds: He is
in the eighth grade, he likes to play the drums, he plays football
and soccer and he roller skates and dances.
Yet Tyler has another role to fill. He is this year's Goodwill
Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Television
viewers can see him on this weekend's fund-raising telethon, hosted
by Jerry Lewis.
"Last year at the MDA Lock Up I was asked if I wanted to be the
MDA ambassador," he said. "I wrote a letter and they let me."
Tyler has MD and has visited businesses to explain the disease.
Muscular dystrophy is a chronic, non-contagious disease
characterized by a progressive wasting of the muscles.
