CHEYENNE -- The Rolls Royce of fitness equipment is being
produced right here in Cheyenne by a local native who's main
interest while attending school was his love of designing and
building things.
Cheyenne's Doug Brendle is the founder of the Hardkore,
Incorporated, a production company that manufactures fitness,
rehabilitation and medical exercise equipment and can also build and
design entire fitness rooms from the ground up.
And it all started in the early 1980's out of a personal
necessity.
Brendle, who for 2 1/2 years held the middle weight karate
national championship, kept going from gym to gym to find the right
type of equipment he needed to stay at the top of his profession.
