CHEYENNE -- Diana Ohman has been tapped to take the reins of
Laramie County School District 1 on July 1.
Ohman was one of four candidates interviewed for the
superintendent position, which becomes vacant when Robert Myers
leaves office June 30. LCSD1 announced Friday that it has offered
Ohman the job.
The position is a "natural step," Ohman said. The former Wyoming
Secretary of State has two education degrees from the University of
Wyoming and a 22-year educational background.
"I feel this is a very good district," she said, adding she plans
to get plenty of input from administrators and teachers prior to
beginning her $90,000 per year two-year contract with LCSD1.
